Nutrition Facts % Daily Value is currently calculated only against US FDA reference values, with no way to change the standard or override the displayed percentage.
For EU-based users this produces inaccurate numbers — e.g. Vitamin K reference is 120 µg under FDA vs. 75 µg under EU NRV (Regulation 1169/2011, Annex XIII). A recipe with 179 µg of Vitamin K currently shows 149% DV, when the correct EU figure is ~239%. Several other nutrients diverge too (Vitamin A: 900 µg FDA vs. 800 µg EU; Vitamin B6: 1.7 mg vs. 1.4 mg; Folate: 400 µg DFE vs. 200 µg). Protein happens to match (50g both), which can make the discrepancy easy to miss.
Right now there's no field to enter a raw amount and get an EU-based %, and no way to manually override the calculated percentage as a workaround.
Feature request: add a region/reference-standard toggle (US FDA / EU NRV, ideally with room for UK/Codex later) that recalculates % from the same raw value. Until that exists, even a manual override field for the displayed percentage would help.
Thanks for considering this,
Tomislav
